After getting KOed by Gonzaga's kick, this is the match where Crocop was suppose to redeem himself and make up for his debut loss. He was put into a match with Kongo, who is known to be a striker that loves to stand and bang, which suits Crocop's style.

Gabriel Gonzaga VS Mirko Crocop:
This fight definitely dropped alot of jaws. Crocop was brought in to fight Randy Couture for the Heavyweight belt and this was the fight for contention. But this kid named Gonzaga was ready to stop that from happening. Definitely an upset in the year of upsets.

This fight is very exciting to watch. Any fight with the Axe Murderer is exciting, not to mention Crocop is in it too. This is a war between 2 strikers.

Mirko Crocop VS Antonio Nogueira:
This is one of the most exciting fights in Pride. Fedor, the Heavyweight champion was injured at the time, so Crocop and Big Nog were elected to fight for the interm title at Pride Final Conflict 2003. Crocop, who just came off an impressive string of wins, pretty much dominated the 1st round. Big Nog came out in the 2nd round very determined and demonstrated what he was known for, the ability to take alot of punishment and comeback to win. In an interview with Bas Rutten, Crocop admitted he was overconfident in this fight.
