Fedor Emelianenko VS Antonio Nogueira:
Fedor vs Big Nog was probably one of the best matchups in Pride, both of them were regarded as top Heavyweights even up to now. In their first meeting at Pride 25: Body Blow, Fedor was up to challenge Nog, the reigning HW champ. At that time, Nog was the unbeatable champ that everyone thought was the best fighter in the world with no holes in his game. Well Fedor came in, dominated Nog at his own game, punished him on the ground with his fictious groundnpound. The masterful Bjj that Nog used to dominate a lot of Pride fighters with did not work on Fedor at all. Fedor won by unanimous decision and became the second Pride HW champ.

Fedor Emelianenko VS Antonio Nogueira 3:
Their second meeting was a no contest due to doctor stoppage because Fedor suffered a cut from an accidental headbut. Their third meeting took place at Pride: Shockwave 2004. In this rematch, you can see Fedor changed his gameplan with an obvious increase in movements. Right from the get go, Fedor was beating Nog on his feet and did so throughout the first round. He continued his control of the fight in the remaining rounds using his counterpunching and his takedown defense really made Nog very ineffective. Fedor wins with another unanimous decision.
